AA

We’re lovers of addiction

So seems not too far off from a passion

That holds love to different extremes

Help me be the better man and

Help my ‘loves’ plan to be

A testimony of sobriety

My recluse or reform

Is much in what I conform to

As  a new man,

Today I commit to myself

To stand a bit taller

And I will not fall,

But reach into the depths of

My future

As a suture of content desires.

Teach me to love my passions more

Being free from alcohol.
